
Cajun Fried Pork Chops

2 Tbsp | butter |
2 Tbsp | all-purpose flour |
½ Tbsp | Creole seasoning |
1 cup | half and half or milk |
1 pkg | Shore Lunch® Cajun Style Fish Breading/Batter Mix |
4 | boneless pork chops, pounded to ¼ inch thick |
⅓ cup | vegetable oil |
2 | large eggs, beaten |
1 cup | milk |
1 cup | all-purpose flour |
½ tsp | kosher salt |
½ tsp | black pepper |
Combine the flour, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
Whisk the eggs and the milk in a shallow dish.
Add the breading to a shallow dish.
Dredge each pork chop in the flour, dip in the egg wash, and dredge in the breading.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
Add 2 pork chops to the skillet and fry for 2-3 minutes per side. Repeat with the remaining pork chops.
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium high heat. Add the flour and Creole seasoning to the saucepan and cook for 1-2 minutes stirring constantly. Whisk the milk into the saucepan and bring to a simmer for 3-4 minutes, whisking occasionally.
Remove the sauce from the heat and serve immediately with the pork chops.
