Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a large stock pot to 350 ºF.
  2. Add the batter, sesame seeds, and soy sauce to a medium sized mixing bowl. Slowly whisk in the club soda.
  3. Dredge each mushroom into the batter and carefully drop directly into the oil. Fry for 1 minute per side. Using a slotted metal spoon remove the fried mushrooms from the oil to a plate lined with paper towels.
  4. Serve immediately with the dumpling sauce.
